Suppose that you get from the Charlotte Hotel in grave just west of Yosemite on Highway 120, because this is where we begin to give directions. We did this as a two-night, and is not busy, so not everything was a bit 'of persistent interesting cross roads. Today was spent exploring the south of Yosemite and a few of the smaller between YNP and Fresno. The next day we had a power plant was not with the two parks.
You start the first part ofStreet on Highway 120 in Yosemite, but to save the Valley this time and head directly south entrance park.near to Highway 41 (pass through Yosemite Valley is not around the park), is a bit 'more than two hours from Grove . Spend time exploring the Wawona Hotel and the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoia. Make a stop at the Pioneer History Center & Covered Bridge, where teachers are often in period costume and relate the stories of travelers in the past. The Mariposa Grove inRedwoods are just outside the park exit, where you can take a tram tour is a history now. The Wawona is an old hotel in a beautiful location. Maybe at lunch here, have a spacious dining room, where places seem to be more window seats, a good choice of menu and drink sizes at a reasonable price.
Leaving Yosemite to the south on 41 and you'll soon find yourself in a skirmish known as Fish Camp really sweet and reminds me of the Grove, a way for the city only a fewlength blocks.
Further south towards the city Coarse Gold. Here Chukchansi Casino and Resort, with a big name entertainment. This is not a Rinkya-do surgery! Our only disappointment was the way in which slot machines pay. Then we would feel the bucket down to collect coins and Sashay with big smile, as if we had won! The car has about where none of our neighborhoods have to start playing, everyone is paid on a piece of paper that you could go to another computer or to the Treasurer,is not nearly as exciting as a scoop and exit Sashay!
To the south again to 41-99 in Fresno, Visalia, until after the 99 We chose to turn the Sequoia / Kings Canyon and south. From there, take 198 east to the small community of Lemon Cove (not blink or you'll miss the city) where you should Plantation Bed & Breakfast. Door to door to Lemon Grove Cove total driving time of 4 hours and 20 minutes. We stayed in room beadyeyedbrat in $ 159 a night in Gone With the Wind theme B & BThe room was beautiful, with a large double bed, large wardrobe, rocking chair, small bath and shower, TV / VCR combination and a working fireplace. Make sure that the swimming pool, hot tub and lawn maintained garden hammock. Gourmet breakfast prepared and it was pretty good too! To this day we continue to exchange monthly newsletter for the owners: http://www.theplantation.net
From Lemon Cove, through the Three Rivers is only 16 miles to the park. Our first dayWe have "discovered" Vineyards Bullen, and buy our wines for both evenings, we enjoyed bubble bath before retiring for the evening. Restaurants in Three Rivers is not great. Gateway, a hop-skip from the park entrance has a marking menu with a few pleasant and a nice place, but the prices were a bit 'steep.
Once in Sequoia National Park, the road quickly became one that was created for the film and a small foreign car. Visitors will be impressed by the fantastic views, heavy drops, sharpcurves and dramatic scenery as the road climbs to 500 meters above sea level in Lemon Cove to almost 7000 meters of the tip.
Sherman Tree, the highlight of the park, but the area was under construction during our visit, as a new parking lot to the roots of trees to protect the building. There is no doubt that this construction has been completed. Shortly after the Sherman Tree is a sweater with a long walk in the woods in a long ago fire damaged. The museum, right on the road a bit 'longer loadedwith interesting details about these trees, which grow so tall, age, hit the fire and the man ….
Leaving the area of large trees that are remote and uninhabited Ten Mile Road has been taken to Hume Lake, where we arrived at Hume Lake Christian Camp, a place more lively before the community at the foot of the lake with all water and outdoor activities available, you might think.
Continues, it is important to note that the confusion of signs, there are two parts of Kings CanyonNational Park, just west adjacent Sequoia National Park, the largest canyon that leads to Cedar Lodge. The largest canyon trail is a bit 'like Yosemite, but much narrower and with less traffic. During a first come in Kings Canyon Lodge, a lonely outpost of tents, an old gas station and a restaurant. We did it quickly for a late lunch break. Upon their arrival, it was only available, no sign of an open or closed, only strangely silent. After a few minutesResearch and remain faithful to the canyon, we are pleased that this has not stopped quickly to fill our gas tank! This part of the Kings River is famous for fishing, picnics and the king his little distance. There is a cave to be discovered along the route and at the end of a campground, a small hotel and a souvenir shop. The road to the canyon is amazing sheer off, curves and a dizzying open views and well worth having cardiac arrest soon! Unfortunately this is also when the camera is runningOut of charge!
In turn, you walk back along the canyon at 180 Fresno then just got a nice path south, Route 245, a second step known for her curves and climbing! This brings us back to the orchard in time for a hot bath, eating a movie and sleep early to start over with a new adventure next day.
This course is very nice, but the drive-intensive, and we suggest you make a day of Sequoia and Kings Canyon another study. We would have more time for every man to have! More information on both parks may be on the website of the National Park Service found. http://www.nps.gov/seki.
